why is my generation genuinely really terrible at not being rude

kay so like... imagine you become friends with someone at the beginning of the school year. ur friend who you've known since 7th grade does too! and that's fine and all, righhhttt...?

december 2025 rolls around, you get decked in the eye (who was she, anyway?) and so you ask a gc if they knew!! gave them a description and all

odd friend you made @ the start says she knows her... SHE LIED. i reported this poor girl for nothing (no security footage was found, sobs)

gc was made without starting girl. stuff spirals. you get dragged into middle of it even IF you had suspicions abt her.

january rolls around!! things seem okay, UNTIl the girl texts you basically giving an indirect f off for NOTHING??? forgives the ppl who made the smacktalk BUT NOT ME?!?!?!?

fast forward, february!! you make up with starting girl!! tho, 7th grade girl becomes wary of u. and so does starting girl. for no reason? they talk smack about u behind ur back blah blah blah. little did i know starting girl manipulated bsf into believing i was terrible, yayay?

start of this month. imagine this part. its the last class, power went out! ur on friend break with starting girl because shes still working out how she feels abt u. you hold ur phone to ur chest (instinct?) and SOMEHOW, that translates into me taking pictures of them? anyways starting girl sends another large accusing message yadayda she moves schools DRAMA OVER.

but like... lowkey trying to make my friends believe im a bad person is WILD when you had several people in that same group having proof of the shi you did and SOMEHOW still convinced ur friend we were wrong... that's just wrong. like it isn't that hard to tell the truth and admit you f'd up but noooo let's make jay seem terrible even if there is screenshots and several ppl saying the same thing!!! the way ppl my age can be so sadistic and brutal is crazy to me.

sorry for the long yap but i've been thinking of this a lot lately :p
