Asya Shubina, Tosya, and the end // Z.A.T.O I Love the World and Everything In It

Just like most fans of Z.A.T.O, the end of the game was confusing but beautiful.

Me as well. But, I wanted to talk about my thoughts on it and how it played out. So, if you plan on playing the game and don't wish to see spoilers PLEASEE CLICK OFF RIGHT NOW!!!! also im bad at this. i can be wrong

I like to imagine how it ended was more peaceful rather than painful. While this mainly just goes for Asya and Tosya, this could defer from Ira due to how she was techinally "erased" first than the others, but Asya had the most peaceful one compared to the others within Vorkuta-5 from how she was able to send her "love message" to the world. She wanted to do this from how she felt like she was ungrateful brat from just existing, because the world was so amazing and that she thought what she was doing was making a stain so she wanted to send of signal of love to everything in the universe.

One point during the game Asya has a breakdown near the car workshop (im pretty sure) she has a hallucination, especially it being about Tosya. But when it reaches the middle of the 3rd ep, I believe Tosya was willed into existence by Asya or just a part OF Asya and in reality, she was talking to herself before being erased. Tosya COULD be a real human but in this case for Asya, she was willed into existence in my eyes.

And at the end, they emerged together for that tower to get the signal of "I Love You." Even beyond her disappearance, her signal still stuck and was spun around the world to other radio towers.

In my eyes, this is supposed to mean that no matter what you did before you go, what you left even if it's just a blank of paper, you still left an impact on life. You will think no matter what you do, it will be nothing in the end but that is wrong. Everything you do will have an impact on the people around, even life itself. You could have reached your dream before you could have noticed.

Asya is the idea of loving the world and trying to understand everything in it, but slowly seeing things and breaking down your mental state just to get there. From what I've read, the disease that affects everyone and then erased Vorkuta-5 seems to be based on something like schizophrenia like example, Asya's accident at the car workshop, Ira seeing the "code", etc etc. And maybe OCD, from how Asya gets more fear from what's going on around her when she spaces out and it makes her change a little in her daily routine for some time.

Tosya is so, so, SO important in this game even with little presence. Tosya is someone that Asya had such a strong bond with but was shoved away from her somewhere far away. And even in the end, it is almost unknown if that really WAS Tosya and not just something "She willed into existence" by how Tosya describes what happened and why the two was seperated. Tosya almost seems to copy emotions or stances of other characters, mainly Marina. That could be why Asya liked Marina besides her personality, she almost was similar to Tosya.

In my head, the ending of the game was peaceful even when Asya was going through the disease. She finally sent her message, her signal, to the whole plane to the universe. Even if its unknown if Tosya was actually there or not but at the end, even if it wasn't Tosya, Asya had felt she had for filled what she wanted to achieve. Sending her signal to the world, and being with Tosya again.

BY THE WAYYY i can be very very very VERYYY wrong these are just my thoughts on this horribly written blog gulp
