Raindrops are little kisses from the ocean.

Walking home from school, the raindrops make your hair stick in clusters down your face and neck. Your trousers are wet at the bottom and socks damp. Your backpack dragging your shoulders down. The will to keep moving leaving your body while your steps get slower. The tall grass next to you sings sweet tunes and invites you to lay down. But your light blue jeans say no, and you keep moving.

Following the path, you know so well you stumble upon a sight you've never seen before. A light brown hare jumps not far away from you out on the grass. It stops you in your tracks. Never have you seen one so close. With eyes that pierce into your soul. It doesn't take long before the hare is gone and funny enough your backpack is now lighter. And the water no longer clings to every aspect of your being with dread; it now embraces your figure in a strange but warming hug. A spark of light fills the very core of your body. Maybe the rain isn't so bad after all.

Passing the tall trees by the fence that always have a lost mitten hanging on one end. The brook flowing water tingles your eardrums. Your favorite purple flowers have started to bloom; it reminds you of when you used to pick small flower bouquets and keep them in small vases. It could only hold the smallest amounts of water. One drop too much and the flowers would drown. Water is really the source of all life.

Wondering if the ocean sometimes feels left out. You are going around and hating it for existing when it becomes a slight inconvenience for you, but it's the creator of everything you love. Hate is the gate to misery. Never would your creator hate on you, why are you so bitter? The earth, your earth, our earth, our mother is filled with flowing life sources that all get taken for granted. Why not love our mother? Welcome her when she joins you on your walk home from school.

Smiling at the raindrops hitting your face, knowing they are signs of love from our mother. When they mess up your hairstyle and make all the hairs from your bangs clump together and stick to your forehead, it's a small sign of love from our mother. Little kisses if you will. And at last, you do make it home in one piece, all your limbs still attached to your body.

Turning on the water from the tap and when it hits your hands a wave of vibrations flow through your body. Small tears drop on your cheeks. Isn't it beautiful? The way she keeps doing it repeatedly, giving you a chance to enjoy her beauty. She tells you that you are in fact worthy of living and you will always, every day have a new chance to show your worth, to show your love back to the world.

So, whatever you do, please don't take the earth, our mother for granted.

It makes the ocean sad ૮◞‸◟˶𑁬

After all raindrops are little kisses from the ocean.
