I don't think I ever was an outgoing person, but I do know that I feel better having a person to talk to. I never had much friends or acquaintances and as we grew older my best friends and I started talking less and less as it happens in life. And now after I moved across the country only people I talk to irl are my family and coworkers. I feel really lonely, and this feeling permeates even through all the distractions I have available. Maybe this is why I even signed up for spacehey. If anyone out here feels the same or has any tips on how to meet new people in a new place hmu

I'm personally in a good place regarding friendships, maybe just a bit nostalgic about some friendships getting weaker or vanishing with time/separation, but if you wanna chat, feel free to text me.
One thing I'd try if I were you, on facebook or some other platform, find a group "expats in ...(your city)" or international community in your city, that could be a start :)

My friend I understand your pain completely 100% growing up I was always alone, bullied by classmates and even teachers who picked on me for having trouble with learning fast enough like the rest of kids. As of now, I do have friends but at the same time, we don’t speak like we used to, it’s always small talk or a quick “hey” but then I get left of read. No ones around anymore and it does hurt and makes me think of all the better days I had. I use this site as a way to be more social because in real life you’d never catch me talking to anyone in public lmao I’m wayyyy too shy of a person to be that guy.
