Overall thought: what the fuck did i just watch (but in a good way)

Rant (bad english but yolo): This movie could feel boring tbh, but it was so fucking real you cant even be mad at it. The aesthetic were so soft, lowk reminding u of that frutiger aero thingy (myb bcs it was released in 2001 bruh) , also its super dreamy if you combined it with the music. For the plot, kinda feel shit bcs I was expecting for hoshino and yuichi to have good ending, like a reconciliation or some sort (they dont lol). But what got me super hooked is how they turned the character persona upside down. (Hoshino) who used to be bullied, then somehow ended up becoming the bully, even orchestrating a gangrape. Maybe it was the near death experience, but i do not expect that at all. Both Hoshino and Yuichi went from "youre the only one that undertands me :(" to a big fuck you. IT hits a bit too close to home, to how both of them cope with life using music bcs I understand that a lot. U could have the shittiest day in your life and still survive probably bcs the music from an artist u love consoled you ykwim. I dont even know what im talking about anymore but really the movies is cool.
i suck at ranting, i wanna rant more but I cant make a coherent sentence. honestly yall should just check it thx 4 reading :))

what really bothered me about this movie was how the rape of the girl and the prostitution of the other one was used as a way to develop yuichi's character. i found yuichi as a character so boring especially since these girls were suffering (one at his hands!!) but it's all just sidelined. Ugh. the music nauseates me... not cause it's bad it just is way too dreamy i feel like i have a fever when i listen to it.
