Another story from Brazil!

The story is called Maria's Diary.

At the beginning of the story, Maria herself says that she will use this diary to write about the trip she is taking with a group of friends, Sara Lívia and Renata (the same one who dreamed the day before that the plane would crash while crossing the Caribbean). Despite her friend's dream, they arrived safely in the city and went to their lodging. But when Maria went to put her clothes away in the closet, she found a straw doll. She found it strange, but not too much, since the region was known for voodoo practices and perhaps it was just something a tourist had left there.

At 7:00 PM that same day, something else strange happened when they went out to eat some kind of fast food. The waitress, who had asked where they lived to see where to deliver the food, turned practically white when they gave the address and refused to deliver the food, becoming euphoric and telling them to leave the house immediately. But, being the STUPID protagonists we are, they stayed. But before they left the restaurant, the waitress said that the next day she could explain the history of the house.

The girls went home scared, except for Maria, who thought it was just a story to scare tourists.

Renata took a lot of medication.

Lívia and Sara spent the night awake with the TV on, afraid of the darkness that the emptiness offered them.

And Maria? She was the only one who managed to sleep amidst all this, and she even managed to convince the others not to go back to that restaurant to find out the truth about the house, a pretty stupid thing coming from a protagonist.

But something strange had happened that day; someone or something had unwrapped the straw doll that Maria had kept wrapped up far away from her clothes and placed it right where she wanted to avoid it.
