TPK Demos I Like

I'm a little bit late to the party but recently I got to listen to some of the demos for The Paper Kingdom that got leaked a while back and they're very good! I absolutely love how gloomy and foreboding it all is

Right now my most favorite song on the entire album is Dive, I like felt myself ascend or something the first time I listened to it and I've probably listened to it a hundred times since, I love how almost seductive it sounds and also a little bit malicious? like a siren luring its victim to their death kinda, but its also really comforting in a weird way, Dive got me so close to crying way too many times

My other favorite is Wake Up! Its been stuck in my head the whole time I've been writing this, Its stands out a lot compared to the other songs, its the most energetic song on the album, I wasn't really %100 sure if it even was a TPK specific song, listening to the lyrics tho it has a few shared motifs with some of the other songs on the album

I also liked Dogs a whole lot, like Dive its also very weirdly comforting to me and its soo sad
Birthday Girl starts out pretty weird and i didn't like it at all at first but its really really been growing on me  
Louder, Dark Cloud, Paper Swords and Witch are so soo good too

With most of the songs on the album its very very obvious that they were still a work in progress and I think some of them definitely stand up pretty well as they are but I cant help but get super sad when imagine how amazing they would've sounded if they were actually finished, I'm still so so happy and grateful i got the chance to listen to them

PS: I know a lot of people object to the demos getting spread around and stuff, I would've felt the same if it was an album they're currently working instead of one that's been abandoned for like 12 years now, I really do believe that this just really isn't hurting anybody so I'm going to continue listening to the demos but I can respect peoples choice not to
