hello schizos of spacehey. this is a copy of a blog going up on my napoleon account as well. i decided to go ahead and set up my account there in case spacehey completely shits itself because fat fucking internet moderators do what moderators do, that is, be FAT FUCKING INTERNET MODERATORS

i noted YEARS ago in a blog that spacehey was heading in the direction of reddit. mods with supreme power thanks to An leaving and a reinforcement of echo chambers that did nothing but put off anyone trying to get into the site. i do think it's important to note that mods acting like this is nothing new. before the great age of goat, there was a somewhat large band with a spacehey account.

it had an amazing theme and was very active! thousands of people had them added, not out of mass friending, but simply because they were awesome! well... that didn't sit well with a mod at the time.

they were banned without reason after a few months of their activity. the reason? well... at first it was for "friend botting". when that was disproven, then it was "using bots to auto-add people who join". when THAT was disproven, it became "the block and unadd buttons are not accessible on the profile". This one was straight up a lie, since their theme fully allowed those actions!

so what was the real reason? i wish i knew. other mods didn't even know. it was a shitshow.

i'd imagine if a website like this existed back then, many of us would have already abandoned spacehey after that.

i'm seeing some parallels, but im going to keep it a buck, i'm still hoping things go smooth and i can keep using spacehey. things (kinda) worked out last time, with an apology coming from one of the other mods, but things don't play out identically every time.

since things haven't fully played out yet, i'll keep using both accounts. until then though, rate 5/5 thanks!@!!!111!1
