It's such a weird period of time to be 9teen and seeing some of your friends working full time jobs, some studying, some at their parents' house, some living alone or even some living with their partners...
Some of my friends are living hours away, my boyfriend is living 8hours away from where I live, when we all use to hang out in the same very small city.
I also feel like this is the real time period where you realise how big of a gap there is between you and the people you used to chill out with. Your political opinions & lifestyle say a lot about who you are.
Seeing how badly some people changed, I've been asking myself "How on earth did I enjoy hanging out with them??".

I can only empathize, the beginning of university feels like the end of a previous life. I can’t even count the number of human disappointments I’ve had, both on a personal and a political level. I was very surprised to see how many former classmates I liked ended up supporting political groups that do nothing but make people’s lives worse, for different reasons each time, and always illegitimate ones. But university is also an opportunity to meet new people, even though for me it hasn’t really worked out either....We’ll see what comes next.
Yes!! 100% agree, even tho for me, making friends in college feels like a nightmare
