Uncommon Interests & Making New Friends

I don't really know how to start these.

I have autism. I'm not trying to make myself sound special by stating this, but I have special interests that sort of makes me feel alien to everyone else. I'm really into old technology and US presidents for some reason. It's weird. I like learning about the ones from 1890 all the way up until today. (I do not find it especially appropriate to state my political beliefs right now, but I do want to note that I am not MAGA.) I say this because these set of interests make it especially harder to converse with others, even people who are autistic too. There's a set of neurodivergent and "alt(?)" peers at my school, but 99% of the things they talk about is Forsaken, MCR, and other fandom culture like that.

I understand this website is intended for people looking to replicate old MySpace, and this typically draws in more alternative communities attempting to branch away from mainstream social media. I just wanted to see if people on here could relate. Does anybody else have any "atypical" or uncommon interests that makes it hard to make friends?
