Is health a good topic to write about here?

Hii everyone, how's it going?

Since I became an adult, my health has been my priority! And it's funny because I grew up in an environment full of negligence with health: food was always soaked in oil, no vegetables on table, no exercises, no good sleep...

Now, I do exercises 3 days a week (this is when I have time), eat the best I can, and try to sleep at least 6-7 hours a night (because I get home late).

I don't know what to do about my parents! They do the opposite! They drink around 4L of Coke per week, sleep late, eat lots of junk food and... Their bellies are enormous because of those bad habits. At least they don't drink alcohol usually and have quit smoking.

Everytime I try to warn them, they feel offended. They say "I ate this for X years and didn't die!". I really don't know if they're expecting me to wait until they're dead to prove something, but I think that's crazy!!!

It's hard to cultivate good habits when you live with people that don't do it too. They make so much noise at night, when I try to eat something I only find bad food, I need to exercise alone (in the beginning that was so hard!!), but I try everyday 🤣.

Hope you don't have to deal with kid in your parents' bodies too. XOXO

Good on you for working to improve your health, it def isn't easy if the environment isn't supportive X00 About your parents, maybe you could try to appeal to them by making it fun?? Ex. trying silly health recipes together or exercising by going on short walks but framing it as bonding time?? Best of luck with your health journey!!
