Research

Please, I literally don't know how to research different cultures. Like I have poc oc's, but I don't know where to start with researching culture and stuff, especially when i'm writing something historical. I'm black if anyone wanted to know ig...I have a native oc and I really don't know what to research. I searched up tribes in Michigan and went with the Ojibwe tribe, and looked up everything about the tribe, but is there anything else I need to research?
