I don't want this year to pass as fast the 2025 did, but its already March, and the time seems faster than ever.
Wanting to fully experience this new year, I made a list of things I believe could extend how my time is perceived and make me "live more":
- Putting the phone away: Not only will I not be tempted to dumbscroll, but I could spend the free time I have doing something else, like a hobby, something I can learn and relax from, and I'm probably not going to forget it as easily as reels and TikToks. Also, try to do things without relying on the internet and your smartphone.
- Waking up early: It gives me this perception that I archived more in that day, that I got more time, even if I went to sleep early, and had the same 8 hours of sleep like other days. I don't consider myself an early bird, but I found it more practical than sleeping later and waking up later (but that maybe could not be the case for you).
- Going out there and making memories: more memories = more life. I need to go to side quests at every chance I get. Alone or with friends.
- Decrease 'everyday the same' time: I called 'everyday the same' time (I just invented that, but stay with me) to any moment that is repeating in our lives and our brain just vanished it because it is not relevant at some point (because it is always the same) like driving to work or school; you'll not remember every day of that. You need to make a difference in those routines from time to time. Change something. Listen to a new podcast. Take a different route. Start a conversation. Learn something during the commute.
-Document your life: I actually do this one kind of well because I love to take pictures with my digicam and I have some scrapbooks. But I haven't done so much in the 2026 scrapbook yet, so I need to start to fill it with some memories.
Don't let your time pass unnoticed and blur away.
Thank you for reading. This is the first public entry I make and part of this comes from my personal journal. I apologize for any grammatical mistakes; English is not my first language, and I'll appreciate feedback. Also, I'd love to hear more ideas. What do you do to try stopping time from passing so fast?

Omg love these goals!! Especially trying to switch up daily routines so that that they feel new (´▽`) Actually, I hadn't considered this idea of trying not to let time pass by so fast when I was setting my new year's resolutions...but I really like it! Not too sure what I'll do yet, but I'll definitely be thinking about it XDD
I'm glad you loved them!
I'm sure you'll find your own way to not let the time pass too fast this year <3

Well done, I would have never known English was not your first language. Heck I barely understand my own much less a second one lol.
I myself am in my 30s and I agree, I am trying to pump the brakes on life.
I agree with being on the phone less. I bury my social media apps not on the front page of my phone so I am less inclined to just open them. Spacehey has helped me be a bit more thoughtful on what I post or what content I consume.
In regards to documenting activities I found using Google Timeline on my phone is a way to track if I have been active enough. Anytime I visit a new place my "places" counter increases. I have a goal to visit 100 new places every annual quarter. I try to schedule mini day vacations at least every other week to destinations I have not been to.
Thank you Birbguy!
I used some programs like QuillBot to check grammar I have to tell you, but I'm really trying not to rely as far as I can on tools for writing in English. This is the first comment I've received on a blog and I feel very inspired to keep going.
That's so interesting! I never heard about the Google Timeline before. I looked it up and I guess I would never see Maps the same way. That's a really cool idea to keep you exploring new places.
