So down bad, i’m reading their biography and girl to see what they did, especially during bullet’s era, to have shows or just have the album out is amazing. Unfortunately it’s depressing to see what they have become just an other greedy band when they were very close to their fans. I guess it’s what happens to every major group </3 Wish i could go back in time and assist to one of their shows…

Agreesd, i kinda wanna distance myself from bandom because they always turn out to be awful people. Its not like i was parasocial befor i found out about the bad shit, i just appreciated them as artists and as good people. But no gerard marrys a woman who was in a band that made music that sexualised kids, mikey dated a 19 yr old when he was 30, frank with ai i guess, and ray being guilty by association.
Not to mention them just...not speaking about ICE or anything, their own fans could be dying in a war, or getting detained (honestly is it that much of a gamble to say at least one mcr fan is in a detention centre rn) but, no they do not care to speak up. And some people defend them by saying "the art speaks for itsel" not while people are dying. Sorry but the people youve come to idolise have become selfish and greedy. Its even worse when you remember they have spoken up about trump before, actually. Way back in 2016 i remember ray and frank made tweets about him, now that hes president again and so many people have died and not a word? Yeah theres no defending that. Theyve 100% lost their edge and it shows, and now theyre touring an album they made over a decade ago while roleplaying being oppressed by a fake dictatorship
Exactly !! I’ve seen so many persons lately speaking about it after the new merch drop. Again with some overpriced t-shirts and tracksuits with half-baked designs and poor quality. It was kind of a wake up call, unfortunate it had to came to this for people to realize but i guess they only care when it directly affects them. The band lost what made them famous in the first place. Really disappointed. I have nothing to add you said everything.
And i have to say i absolutely didn’t knew about Mikey dating a 19yo ?! it’s disgusting ?!!!
