a lot of yall seems to forget what pedophilia is and who they actually are

what is pedophilia: a psychiatric disorder in which an adult or older adolescent experiences a sexual attraction to prepubescent children

according to DSM-5, pedophiles should meet these three conditions:

☞ the perpetrator must cause symptoms such as sexual impulses, fantasies, or behaviors in a minor (under 13 years of age) before or immediately after puberty.

☞ these symptoms must persist for six months.

☞ the perpetrator must be at least 16 years old, and the target must be at least 5 years older than the actor.

so no, you can't call someone who's attracted to a 16y old a pedophile. (being attracted to adolescents in mid-puberty is called hebephilia or ephebophilia)

plus, someone being pedophile doesn't necessarily mean that they are a criminal. some pedophiles are not beasts hungry for sex or desire. some of them actually feel disgusted to themselves and seek for cure.
