bring back the way social media used to be

honestly, social media these days is boring and kinda scary. there's lingo i'll never understand from my own generation, posts that bait you into being afraid or enraged, and overall? the internet isn't a safe space anymore.

even when I was young, i admired the internet. at the time, it was a nice escape from reality. but nowadays, the more i see of emotionless posts (or posts meant to invoke emotion), i miss feeling like the internet was a place i could express myself. </3
