Manon - Katseye

I knew something was going to happen to Manon, like ever since the official debut i just knew some bullshit was gonna happen. The debut choreo was a MESS because they hid Manon almost all the time, which makes no sense since she’s supposed to be the visual of the group! That was always weird to me and it only changed with later songs and choreo because fans complained about it the first time. My thing is, how can you not choreograph for 6 people? I’m sure the choreographers knew there was 6 members and if you can’t choreograph for 6 people then you shouldn’t be doing it at all. Another thing I’ve noticed was whenever Manon is sick and can’t make it to events, they don't try to include her in any way unlike other members. When Megan was sick for the my way music video, they included her in her own separate scenes. When Lara was injured (or sick I can’t remember) for the gameboy music video, they had her in her own scenes. When it came to the Gabriela dance practice, Manon was sick but she was nowhere to be seen in the music video (now i do know it might be because it’s a dance practice so it would be hard to include but it’s something I’ve noticed). The glossier makeup ad is another huge example. Again, Manon was sick and couldn’t go take the photo with everyone in front of the giant poster of them, to make it worse her face was covered up on the poster by other members which I'm sure wasn't their fault but still weird. They could’ve at least had her face shown on the poster or even just edit her in! Like i know we have the technology for it. The monster high collab was another huge indicator of mistreatment cuz how the fuck are you gonna interview all the girls and ask them how they feel about their dolls but SKIP OVER MANON! She was there with all the girls, she was in multiple frames in the video but we didn't get to hear her thoughts on the doll… she had to make a whole separate post about it herself. When monster high posted their article about Katseye, guess who’s photo was missing… fucking Manon’s, they said Hybe never sent over her photo and when fans were angry, suddenly her photo was posted… like they think we wont notice this shit but its so obvious. Like these niggas are so weird… back when i was pointing this shit out, i was told i was looking into it too much or even called parasocial and i thought maybe i was, BUT now that this hiatus was announced and Manon was seen liking posts about racism and mistreatment of black women within labels, i dont think i am. On her private account she said “some things are just out of my control” which shows that the break wasnt her idea, they made her take a break. My question how the fuck are you gonna make a global girl group to represent so many people out there, but be racist tp the black girl… like u niggas fucking suck! They set her up from the beginning with the dream academy documentary to paint her as this lazy person and it worked because she still gets hate from it. You got all these new fans after Gnarly dropped and they judge her based off the documentary. It’s like if you haven’t started following Katseye during the voting era then you really wont understand Manon’s story. She admitted she didnt take it seriously at first but once she realized how serious this was to the other girls, she started working extra hard and it really showed in later mission videos. She’s not perfect by any means but what else do people want from her? She works just as hard, if not harder, as the other members but she’s still called lazy. It’s really upsetting seeing things turn out this way and i dont see her coming back to Katseye any time soon… she’s in an awkward position where there so many people wanting her to go solo, wether thats acting or poetry or what, while other people want her back in the group. I feel like if she comes back to the group it definitely wont be the same. Also their music as of late is a whole other post.
