I don't know if I did the right thing...

Hi, I'm a bit confused. Since New Year's, a friend I've known for four years has stopped talking to me.

At first, I blamed it on exams, thinking she must be revising.

But as the days went by, she kept putting me off and wouldn't talk to me.

One day she asked to see me, but the thing is, I couldn't, so I suggested another date, but she couldn't make it, so I listened to my parents and waited for her to suggest another date.

When she suggested another date after two weeks without any news, we met up, but we didn't really talk about what was going on.

She said some things about my sister, and that evening I talked to my parents about it. Because I don't like people talking badly about my family.

And in this case, it was a rumour about my sister's ex.

The next day, I told my sister about it and she went to ask her ex if it was true. She also sent a message to my girlfriend to get proof of what she was saying.

But my girlfriend never replied.

And from then on, she started ‘threatening’ me, saying things like, ‘You're lucky I didn't lose my friends because of you’...

So I didn't respond, but she kept telling me I was a liar (about what I said to my sister).

I didn't really know how to respond, so it upset me and I cried a lot.

My mum helped me write a message saying what I was thinking, because I find it hard to express my feelings to others.

She replied the next day at 1 a.m. to say that when I talked to her, I only talked about my problems, and when she talked about hers, I didn't help her.

(I told her to block her ex, who kept coming back to her to hurt her).

She also accused me of not keeping my promises.

So I replied at the very end that she didn't keep her promises either, because she owes me 26 euros (I've been waiting for her to pay me back for two months).

But since then, she hasn't replied to me and hasn't even opened the message.

Today I ran into her at university and she cried when she saw me. It hurts a little that she's making me look like the bad guy, because I trusted her. She was there when I wasn't feeling well...

She knows everything about me and it hurts to see her making me look like the bad guy like this.

I don't feel like I've done anything wrong, though.

I don't know if it's a good idea to send her another message asking her to pay me back.
