Society (poem)

Society:

Men are disgusted by periods

'Ew, women bleed?'

Unlike the myriads

That arnt disgusted by rape

That act like women are tools

Like a car that needs fixing

Or like a dog who didn't folow the rules

The men who shout or hit or scream

The men who touch or smirk or ignore

We need to stop

We need to stop ignoring all these women

Who were pushed to the side for the core fact

That they are women

America I'd a living handmaid's tale

The right people arnt going to jail

Snd we ask why our economy is so depressed

While many are so suppressed

From the life they lead

And yet we heed

On why there's so much death

This poem is a powerful call for fairness that highlights the strange way society acts disgusted by natural things while ignoring real harm. Your use of simple, clear comparisons shows how women are often treated like objects instead of people, which makes your message feel very urgent and honest. To make the poem even stronger, you could try to make the rhythm of the last few lines match the fast, snappy beat of the beginning, but it's really good without that too!!

I love it so much!
