I can’t tell with people

How do you tell if people are you friends.

For me I need people to directly tell me “we are friends” for me to consider them a friend. (Or make it very very very obvious. Like always playing games with me or talking to me one on one and such)

One of my friends made fun of me for this because we talked everyday at work and I didn’t know if we we friends. And he said he wouldn’t talk to me every day if we whernt. But like? That’s not how it works with everyone 

Actually another one of my friends made fun of me for it too. They asked if I saw them as a friend and I said idk. And I had to explain how I think and they kinda laughed

Anyways I’m saying this cuz of 3 whole people

1) someone imma move in with next year. Like we hardly talk unless I see him in person so like once every 2 weeks or so. Or sometimes I dm and get left on read or answered. Don’t really consider him a friend but he’s like more than an acquaintance? Roommate ig lol 

2) a girl in class who I talk to every class. Idk I don’t have her added on anything and we don’t talk outside of class. She’s sweet tho. Idk if we are friends and I’m not gonna ask

3) my friends bf. Idk known him for a while wouldn’t consider him a friend. Idk why. We do talk in a server often I just, idk he didn’t confirm or say it. And it feels weird to ask… so like idk. Not my friend. 

I’m just ass at making friends and have weird standards ig

But like. Is it that weird? I want confirmation and I don’t want to assume we are closer than we are. Plus like I’m a friendly person. Especially online. So even if we arnt friends I’d still treat them the same as a friend to an extent.

Don’t take offence to me not considering you a friend. It’s just cuz you haven’t confirmed

Oh another side note

So like is it normal to be friends with everyone in a different way. It’s 2:22 lol. I’m tired. I think it is normal. Like you are a different person with everyone and have a unique bond with everyone. Very make sense yes
