Hii guys, hope you're okay!
I'm so excited cause last week Mitski released her new album Nothing's About To Happen To Me! I've heard a bunch of people saying this album was going to be her last, and for this reason she brought her rock era back. But I don't really care if she chooses to retire right now. She built a beautiful career and has lots of different albums, but I still believe she has a few songs left to release.
I love to listen to "sad" music because it doesn't affect me the way it use to affect other people. Yet, I prefer rock, new wave, post punk and electronic music. My current favorite songs are:
- Sing - by Slowdive: This one you need to listen it calmly because it grows gradually;
- Ophia - by Grimes: I don't have any special reason for this one. This is my favorite era from her career;
- XTRANHO - by Matuê and Brandão85: This one is super funny;
- Those Eyes, That Mouth - Cocteau Twins: I love this band because of the freedom they convey through their songs.
- Simpathy is a knife - by Charli XCX: I love to pretend I'm at a party listening to this.
- I'm Your Man - by Mitski: I believe that The Land is Inhospitable And So Are We is my favorite album from Mitski (until now) and I keep playing this relentlessly because of the meaning she brings to the words in here. The dogs barking are so STRONG!
I do love Björk and the last songs I got addicted were Unison and Undo from Vespertine.
The alternative side of music is so interesting! I'd like to dress the way I listen music.
Thanks for reading! XOXO
