Hi, first blog . . I wanted to write my first blog about life, as well as my upcoming transition from High School into the world -- how~ever . . my Re:ZERO obsession JUST kicked back in (as well with the new release of Season 4 coming April) soooooo, I decided to make this all about my favorite one and only character in the show / light novels, Regulus Corneas, aka Sin Archbishop of 『Greed』.

I just NEEDED to rant about how much I despise the merchandise being wrung out of the show, such as the figurines. It's almost always the same five characters: Rem, Ram, Emilia, Echidna, and Beatrice. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't mean I haaaa~aaaate the characters, but I absolutely despise how much merch is made of them where it's just them . . IN DIFFERENT OUTFITS. Waifu this, Waifu that, but what about REGULUS?!? I NEEEEED merch for him. We need justice for the other characters, but of course -- of course, of course, of course some characters NEED to be prioritized over the main cast . . such as:

- Regulus Corneas, Sin Archbishop of 『Greed』

- Lye Batenkaitos + Roy Alphard + Rui Arneb, Sin Archbishop(s) of 『Gluttony』

- Sirius Romanee Conti, Sin Archbishop of 『Wrath』

- Petelgeuse Romanee Conti, Sin Archbishop of 『Sloth』

- Capella Emerada Lugunica, Sin Archbishop of 『Lust』(especially surprised no figurines were made for her)

THESE characters need to be prioritized for merch, and I absolutely ADORE the Witch Cult. If y'all didn't know (I mean- how would y'all really know unless y'all know me irl), I based a lot of my school projects off of these characters and manage to sneak a reference within almost everything I do. As well as my manner~isms + speech, which is also a Re:ZERO reference. Holy- Regulus Corneas absolutely NEEDS their own line of merch, and I NEEEEEEEED IT. We need to address the absolute injustice that is the lack of Regulus representation. Regulus Corneas is not just “another Archbishop,” he is one of the most conceptually terrifying and narratively bold characters in the series. It is against his rights to not have his own figurine either . . and I'm glad that there's some acrylic figurine for him out there, but he deserves his OWN resin statue that I'm willing to invest in thousands of dollars for.

What's even more amazing about this character is how he's written. I may not have a lot of traits that intertwine with him, but he's such a beautifully written character, and that's why I can see why a lot of people can hate him. The way his authority, 『Greed』, allows him to create his own 'little kingdom' using 'little king'. The way that he goes about this is by applying this authority to anyone whom he considers to be within his 'kingdom' (which are his wives). Some of the other Sin Archbishops may have haaa~aaad horrible backstories, but his backstory is simply just him ranting about how the people around him were just- being people. Either taking pity on him, or even potentially glancing at him in a weird way. He just seemingly hated those around him for treating him with kindness, and believing that it's a form of mockery. Welp- I just realized how much I'm actually ranting about the Sin Archbishops (especially Regulus Corneas) . . I need to hold back on that, sorry y'all. Re:ZERO definitely did find me while in a dark place, and will continue to be my obsession for years to come. I may do a deeper rant about him + the merchandise lines, but for now I've gotta focus on myself in the meantime. Thank you, and sorry.
