I kinda feel you! I'm 16 but I've always felt like atleast 2 years older than what I am because of the fact that I've always emotionally regulated myself as a kid (My parents didn't do shit), and same, ever since I'm 12 I feel like I just wanna stay a kid (Mentally a teen I guess, since I'm a bit emotionally unstable, though) because I don't wanna end a part of my life that never happened correctly.
And now that I'm 16, mentally it feels even more weird, yet better. Like, I feel like I'm sort of adult, but I don't live? I struggle doing things for myself, I don't see any friends because I'm not used to going outside at all, plus I don't really have any friends to see. My parents don't even want me to go outside T-T
ANY WORK is very hard for me because it's genuinely not for me anymore, I struggle with school since 6th grade and now doing 9am to 5pm is becoming very hard, I don't work in class, in literally NO class...
If I ever manage to find some work that I like, I'll genuinely need a flexible schedule.
I can't skip class anyway because the French Educational System is just bullshit, they're like super annoying so I can't really skip classes.
But same!! Like I don't wanna grow up I wanna stay a teen, if I had to be emotionally strong alone as a kid because no adult helped me to be fine, it's just normal that older I'm not too able to work correctly in life, and that I'll need someone to help me with it!! A bit like age regression, you know...
Great that I have some friends though :3 We'll figure things out together :ppp

I thought the same and it took me like 7 months to get used to being 20, if that makes sense.. but I'm all good now and very much ready for the rest of my 20s!!!
