also you wont have ads playing so i dont get why i dont see many people doing it(but again it could be just a people ik thing)

even on YT you can just listen to reuploads of their music and they won't be supported. not sure why people get so pissy over "problematic artists", the music isn't inherently "problematic" as well. it's whatever if you personally don't want to listen to them because of their/a member's actions, but it isn't some moral evil to like & want to listen to their music.
If you listen to youtube re-uploads they might still get something due to copyright laws.
As for why its wrong to listen to problematic artists:
It isn't evil to want to listen to the music they made bcz you liked it but by listening to music on most platforms from where the artist can profit allows the artist to continue with their actions as there is no consequence of doing so since people still listen to their music and they still earn money.
so yeah this blog post was for those who dont want to support a problematic artist

oh yes i understood that, just saying there are people who are weird about listening to "problematic" artists even if you don't support them financially, i probably could've made that clearer.
