A reflection on love

I have been with my Other for at least four months now, and two months ago made the decision to love him for life. I do not feel burdened by this at all. In fact, I feel safe and secure with him. Safe in the knowledge that we can talk about our issues to each other, and work together to make our relationship thrive.

I was thinking about this earlier with him, when we came to the topic of music and song recommendations. Me brought to mind Rickard Marx's Right Here Waiting,  and told me that like me, he too would wait an eternity and longer for me if we ever got separated. I know no relationship will be glorious rainbows forever, but strong roots can be built. And storms can be weathered with communication and open minds.
