Richard Ramirez (1960–2013) was an American serial killer known as the "Night Stalker," whose crimes were rooted in a severely dysfunctional upbringing in El Paso, Texas. He suffered physical abuse from his father, brain damage from childhood accidents, early drug use, and deep exposure to graphic violence and Satanism through his cousin, a traumatized Vietnam veteran.
- Abusive Childhood: Born in 1960, Ramirez was raised in a harsh environment, experiencing abuse from his father and suffering head injuries that may have contributed to his behavior.
- Influence of Cousin: His older cousin, Miguel, a Vietnam War veteran with PTSD and schizophrenia, boasted about committing war crimes and, when Ramirez was 15, murdered his own wife in front of him.
- Military Skills and Satanism: Ramirez learned skills from his cousin that he later used in his crimes and developed a intense interest in Satanism and the occult during his teens.
- Criminal Progression: Following a troubled youth, Ramirez moved to California, where he began a series of burglaries, sexual assaults, and murders in the mid-1980s.
- Death: After being sentenced to death, he spent over 23 years on death row before dying of lymphoma in 2013

My mum owned that movie when I was little lol. She was and still is obsessed with serial killers. She also had Ted Bundy and Monster. Also Karla. They're fascinating in some ways mainly how they do it without a care. But that's it.
