A mildly strange (funny) thing that happened today

earlier this afternoon i stopped by my uncle's house to pick up a couple books. (his house used to be my house and we had to leave most of our books there). when i got there he inexplicably had an iguana. like he was holding it. he was trying to scare me with it but i'm not scared of iguanas they're cool. anyway he and his wife were about to leave but they could drop me off near my house so i didn't have to walk so much so i said yes and off we went.

he was driving, iguana in hand. as you do. it was a small iguana. anyway we were at a stoplight and they see someone they know and wave at them. suddenly, this random girl (who is not the person they were waving at) just opens the door of the car. she sees me and goes "uh hi?" but gets in anyway. my uncle is a taxi driver and knows a lot of people so i didn't think anything of it but then they start looking all confused.

and then he shows her the iguana and she gets like jumpscared and then she's like "OH YOU'RE NOT (name that isn't any of us) SORRY" and explains she was waiting for someone else and thought the car was the car she was waiting for. then we all laugh and she gets off the car.

we continue with our drive after that. my uncle starts singing "have you ever seen the rain" to the iguana.

definitely the weirdest two minute car ride i've been on in a while
