Look

War.

Over every subject. Man Vs. Woman, Left Vs. Right, White Vs. Black. Religion, race, origin and culture. Systematic and consistent.

You'd think they'd see the pattern by now. These pointless and petty battles are fabricated, their sole design to introduce a predictable chaos to distract the ants from the colossal enemy watching from their ivory towers. You think these skirmishes touch them? They will never reach their heights, as they might as well live on a different planet. Sure, maybe a few bricks get knocked out of place, and you can celebrate such a miniscule win, as if you actually did them harm. But at some point you must realize that these oppressors are as ancient as they are clever. They have been playing this game since the dawn of humanity. The authority and power they have amassed was built off of your backs. You are nothing more than cogs in their abhorrent machine. Fuel to their vile flames. Sacrificial lambs to their glutenous mouths.

Those towers, which spew noxious fumes into your sky, the tainted ichor that drips from its bowels that pollutes your wells, and the barrage of propaganda that's blasted in echoing broadcast.

All of it. All of it must be ripped from the earth like the parasite it is. 

Dear, reader. This is a plea- to peel your eyes from that glorious silver screen and look up. Look at them laughing at you. See how they eat your struggles as nourishment. Watch them as they will invent reasons for you to hate your peers and neighbors, and watch as your peers will believe them.

Look beside you, at the man who goes about his day. Look at the cashier, the barista, the average woman at the library. These aren't your enemies, the ones who conspire to your downfall. These are your neighbors. They, just like you, wish to find happiness and safety. They return to their families at the end of the day, worried about the future just like you. You have been led to believe that they hate you, that they wish to see you harmed, or exiled. They have been led to believe that you wish to see them fail, to steal their hard-earned place in the world. You both have been lied to. Look, and you will see.

You know what you want. You want to be happy. To be safe. To have a future.

So do they.

The ones who already have that, and yet still want more, are the ones who grow bored in their perfect palaces. They will stir up chaos to entertain themselves. They will blindfold you and rob you. They will rape and kill your children, and devour your futures. These are the people that deserve your contempt. 

If you are to riot, to bash windows and burn buildings- if you are to destroy, then destroy the right things. Destroy this abhorrent machine. Tear down those towers. Teach them the fear you have been burdened with on a daily basis. The fear they sold to you.

When these tyrants have fallen, you'll find that communicating with your neighbors was never so hard. You'll find that civility and respect were always there, that you just forgot this is what you wanted. Debate and discourse will end with compromise, rather than violence. Without the lying middleman, you can hear the other side of the aisle clearly, and while they may have differing opinions than you, they do not wish you harm. Talk to them, listen to them. You have more in common than you have been led to believe.
