After high school, my friends and I decided not to rush into college because we were in a local band that was doing quite well. We had the ability to sell out any place we played local and open for almost any big band that came through town. Now the funny part is we never took ourselves seriously as a band; we prided ourselves on being shit. Now this made every other local band mad because while they were taking it way too seriously, we were out there selling out shows and acting the ass on stage. We did this for about six years until the other guys started moving into real life, making families and other ventures. For me, however, I always felt like I was just left behind. Being on stage or in front of people performing is home to me. After that ended, I jumped into a relationship that ended up breaking my heart, making me even more lost than I was before. After THAT, I ventured into a couple of things, local pro wrestling, Adult entertainment, podcasting, YouTubing, tiktoking almost anything to be entertaining people. Noting really hit like playing music did that feeling is something that if you ever have gotten the chance to experience it, you know what I'm talking about.
So here we are YEARS down the road from when I've last played music professionally, and today I've gotten an offer to join a band starting up that shows a TON of promise, and I've not felt this nervous in FOREVER

dude fucking GET IT!!! LIVE YOUR DREAM! DONT LET YOUR DREAMS BE DREAMS!
sometimes you just have to take the leap to find something beautiful!!!
also in terms of the "acting fools on stage" bit from your previous band, blink-182 did it at every concert and they rocked the hell out of it. Always be you and if acting a fool is fun and what gets your stage presence jiving then own it!!!
