uni life and linux journey

so i'm still attending my uni (luckily bcos there was some errors in t he system that nearly got me expelled) and i have installed linux as a second boot system (its arch (more like cachyos but you get the point)) but i have isues with my tablet drives and i'm wondering if there are some artists who also work on linux , what is your distro? i'm not planning on moving onto fedora because i heard its payed but i havent looked into it yet. anyone got suggestions? i'd love to hear them.

except that i'm okay playing around with multple boots on pendrive and currently planning to nuke the laptop i'm working on to give it a lighter operating system and see if all my siblings games still run on it
