Methods for wig making (cosplay)

HI, i just am wondering...do u guys have any methods for making yarn wigs i saw a tut that tells u to kinda bunch some yarn up on the wig scalp and then make it fluffy but idk how it didnt rlyy explain :'( im making a Hatsune Miku wig for my first ever cosplay!!! <3 can u guys give some tips for yarn wig sor paper wigs??
