sketches vs final product (code ver)

I always draw out a sketch of how I want a page to look like before I start coding and I finished 2 pages for my website this week so I wanted to show the difference between my rough drafts and the final product!! :D

About Me Sketch:
I felt very inspired by Shenzi's about me page on his webpage and tried to make a layout similar but with my own cute twist. I am a bit sad because while I love the final look of my about me page, the sketch's black and pink color scheme is so appealing to me like.. it looks more cohesive but I've never really been about dat life so I don't really care.

About Me Final:
I LOVE how she turned out.. looking at this page makes me happy I didn't go with the black & pink!! (Apolocheese.. I had to zoom out to 80% to get the entire page!!!) THE GLASSES DETAIL IS SO CUTE TOO!!! >__<

About Me!

Shrines Index Sketch:

I had to really trust the process with this one.. you have to really understand my thought process and vision when looking at this sketch alr... I really loved Elio's shrine index cuz it's so simplistic and prettayyy!! I think you can see the influence with the circle frames and stuff but you really can't tell what that bumpy shit is in the sketch.. it's supposed to b like idk the word but small hills(?) is the best way i can explain it.. but yeah this was a massive trust the process.

I think the sketch was much more fleshed out in my head because I didn't even glance at my sketch ONCE when coding this... and I'm so glad I didn't cuz this looks so much better omg. I think it's really cute and gives me like a game menu feel which is what I was going for!! :3 Also glad I didn't choose to draw myself for dis one cuz it would've felt like too much WHICH IS CRAZY FOR ME OF ALL PEOPLE TO SAY but it's true.. o__o)c
