The Lights

The empty sky is lit up by many lights, too many to count. No one would notice if one goes out. Fireworks outshine the stars but are expected to have a shorter life span, leaving behind damage. The stars have a longer expected life span but don’t stand out as there are many more of them than fireworks. The moon is the most noticeable, but it only gets its shine from feeding off the Sun. Just face it. No matter what way you decide to shine, you’ll eventually go out. You’ll be forgotten about, even if you make an impact. You can’t beat the inevitable.
