why i kinda stopped being religious

because theres no definitive proof

like im not gonna follow it blindly and limit myself for something that may or may not be real (eg. muslims not being able to eat pork etc, thats a limitation)

i NEED god himself to phase through my ceiling, descend to my room and say "yo im real" and then i shall believe

anywayz i still believe in karma, coincidences and luck

I think you miss out a lot on religion...
I'm just gonna give an example with me btw (Maybe cuz I realized what I wrote has no link with me), I'm muslim (I suppose? My parents are against it and I'm already depressed in my life so it's kinda hard for me)
I lived as an atheist. I grew as an atheist. I just randomly learned about religion, Islam came in the way, and I personally found all the rules coherent, so that's the reason why I personally began to believe in Islam. Not because of the fact of a God, but all the rest.

The hardest thing about religions is hypocrites; people who are brainwashed and uses religion as an excuse to do horrible things. They usually deform words, and speak for it without the context behind it, or brings it to an extremism, OR instead of teaching you abut something, they'd rather tell you nothing (Homosexuality in Islam for example, there's a lot of Muslim families they're like "Homosexuality is taboo, don't speak about it." It's kinda like saying to your kid "Sex is taboo, I won't teach you safe sex" if you don't teach your kids and just say to them to shut up about something, they will do the complete opposite.)
.
Christians, they colonized, forced their religion on people and killed millions of people and populaces all in the name of religion. They're know to have pedo priests, but does it mean it's what the Bible told them to? No. Didn't the Bible tell them to be kind to your next? To love eachother? (I can't say more because I barely know the Bible but yeah, you get it.)
Muslims, you know, the countries that are told by stupid media to being Islamists. Ethymologically it doesn't even makes sense, because the -ism suffix just means being a part of. But anyway: they do a lot of shit in the name of religion too. They force woman to veil, and if not they hit them and tell them they're whores. They ban certain knowledge to certain people, especially usually women. They speak crazy about the non-believers of Islam (Same as some Christians btw), and whatsoever stupid stuff that exists. The same as Christianity, Allah never said to hit people or to be bad to them. It's haram to force religion on others (You're only encouraged to teach it to people, but DON'T FORCE), haram to hit people or speak bad about/to them, women has a special place in Islam too. For the veil, it's mandatory to wear it, doesn't mean you should be forced to wear it. Again, do not force religion. Everyone deals with things differently and some people aren't ready to wear it yet, especially considering certain countries they're in (Or reverse, some people wanna quit Islam but because of their place they can't). If you wear the veil uncorrectly it's okay, we all make mistakes, there's no point in insulting them for it, just help them.

The veil historically isn't even an only muslim thing:
In all histories, there has been a veil somewhere most of the times. It's pure modesty. Slavic, Asia, Europe, Africa.
In the Torah it's told to atleast wear some hat. In Islam it's mandatory to wear it for women, and for men i think it's encouraged to wear the kippa for men. In Christianity, I'd say it's encouraged to wear it, because it brings you closer to God. Even others religions has a veil (I do not know enough about them to say something though).

That's an example btw. There's reasons for things to be banned, and it's up to you to believe to a God, or to certain rules.
Your choice to believe that if a rule is said good, then you'll believe it's good because you think so, or to think otherwise. Same to believe that if a rule is said bad, then you'll believe it's bad because you think so. Or being opposed to the rules' idea. If they're said bad and you believe it's good, that's your choice. If they're said good and you believe it's bad, that's your choice too.

But just, don't be too dumb about religion. People are dumb, religion originally isn't ;-)
Except for Satanism imo because their whole point is to be opposed to goodness and the idea of other religions somehow. (IN A VERY VAGUE WAY, I barely know Satanism so I won't speak about it.)
From memory it came off from religious hatred (Religious trauma; being told rules without being told why, using religion as an excuse to do shit things...). People just began to hate the fact of God and preferred worshipping the bad instead. Being "more free". But watch out, there's a lot of branches, and since they think life is all free (which ngl it is because you have free will), somes even follows their own set of rules. (Probably in the way they shape the religion as they want, which is why I personally think it's bad. You interpret and understand, you don't change a whole religion.)
