I GOT MY GREEK NAME

hey, space !  okay so today's my last day of "new member education" for the sorority i'm joining.  and i know greek life has a bad rep with the NATIONAL groups being really hardcore and expensive,  but at my uni,  we only have local groups so they can regulate them more.  ( dues are also significantly cheaper,  like the most i'll ever owe would be like $80 at a time,  and usually it'd be more like 50 shmeckles )

but last saturday  ( i haven't been able to blog bc i'm so busy with it )  our names were revealed to us !

mine is actually really significant and rare in the group for reasons i can't share ...  ( SECRET society,  duh lol )  but my greek name in this group is "Shinobu Kocho" !!!

so obviously i'm named after the demon slayer character,  and i'm super happy with it because even though i only watched through mugen train and it has been a couple years,  i always loved how beautiful and graceful Shinobu was , paired with her stearn demeanor.  the person who named me put a lot of thought into it and said i resembled her personality and qualities.  <3

i was worried leading up to it that my name might not represent me but i couldn't be more happy.  her color scheme  ( black and purple )  are also my favorite colors !  score !!

when i finish painting / decorating my personal paddle,  i'll post it maybe in a comment or another blog entry.  i'll probably blur some stuff out for privacy but i'm proud of the details and one side is just my name anyways.

so yeah don't be surprised if i add a picture or theme from Shinobu to my profile at some point hehe

eek i'm so excited,  we have activation tomorrow and then a party !  i haven't been able to drink or smoke for two weeks,  i'm dying.
