Does anyone want to duel? If you do. Come play Yu-Gi-Oh! with me on Dueling Nexus!

It's time to D-D-D-D-Duel!

Just thought I'd make a blog seeing if anyone was interested in playing a super special awesome Yu-Gi-Oh! match with me. If not but you're still interested in Yu-Gi-Oh! and want to check out Dueling Nexus that's cool too.

I mostly play older formats as I'm not really too into playing using Link monsters but I'm still willing to duel others who are. I may have to work around and figure out some strategies and do some deck building as I don't play it as often as other formats. I have found a lot of interest in playing formats from all the way back to the classic Yu-Gi-Oh! days to the later ends of major formats using XYZ monsters. I also wasn't really too big on Pendulum monsters either. It's funny how more recently a format was introduced in official tournaments that eliminated both Link monsters and Pendulum monsters from play. Known as "Genesys". I've never actually played Genesys format but would be up to try. Seems interesting although the point system with deck building can be a bit confusing.

What's Dueling Nexus?

It's completely free to use and no need to download any software/programs to get started. Everything is done from your browser. You can also use any cards in the game right from the start. It's a great option for those who don't want to grind your way to getting good cards or if you don't have the money to invest in paying for physical cards to play.

Taken from the website as the description on the home page.

Dueling Nexus is a free to play Yu-Gi-Oh! Online game. Dueling Nexus is automated, making it the perfect online platform for testing cards and learning the game as its impossible to make an invalid move, this also makes it impossible for your opponents to cheat.

Dueling Nexus works on all major operating systems including Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, iOS, Chrome OS and others. Due to its low power requirements, nearly any device is capable of playing on Dueling Nexus at good speeds.

Dueling Nexus is frequently updated, new cards are added shortly after being announced, long before they are printed and released to the general public. This gives our players an unique opportunity to test new cards before they decide to purchase them.

If you're not a fan of DuelingNexus, there's also DuelingBook as an option within your browser which was formally known as DuelingNetwork if any of you duelists happened to had used it. However, it is all done manually and doesn't have the automated feature to prevent rulebreaking and misplaying cards. It does have more of a community focus and people can chat outside of duels.

There's also EDOPRO and YGO OMEGA which are downloaded programs that are automated Yu-Gi-Oh! games. I've personally tried out EDOPRO and would probably be willing to give it another try as it's been a while since I've been on there. I've never personally tried YGO OMEGA but I'm pretty certain it's a fork or continuation project of YGOPRO. Either way, if you want a more dedicated approach to playing some Yu-Gi-Oh! online with others one of these two options may be the better way to go. I may have to do a bit of a deep dive with these two and come back with another blog.

Feel free to send me a friend request and message me if you want to duel sometime.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my blog.
