Cleaning My Grandparents' Graves in February 2026

On Tuesday, 17 February, 2026, my mother and I went to my grandparents' graves to clean their graves. We did this in order to welcome the month of Ramadan 1447 Hijri that started on 18-19 February, 2026. Of course this is our obligation as their children and grandchildren.

Luckily we went there during the day because it took time to clean their graves. Of all our family, we are the only ones who still remember their graves. Of my grandparents' three children, only my mother always take care of their graves. One thing our relatives couldn't deny.

As you can see in the photos, I only took a photo of my grandfather's grave because the grave had been concreted around it, while my grandmother's grave hadn't been. Hopefully later my grandmother's grave will be concreted around it. My grandmother died in 2025 while my grandfather died in 2022.

After cleaning their graves we prayed of course and after that we left. It rained a lot that day. May my grandparents' mistakes be forgiven. May my grandparents' good deeds be accepted. May my grandparents' graves be made spacious.

Taken on Tuesday, 17 February, 2026 from 16:04 to 16:46 with Samsung Galaxy A05s at "Islam" Sub-district, Tuminting District, Manado, North Sulawesi, Indonesia.
