Hii there, how's it going? Is carnival in my country, so I've been enjoying and resting a lot.
So, I wanna start by saying what happened yesterday: my parents had a barbecue at home (just for close relatives) and after lunch, me and my boyfriend went up to watch a movie that I'd just seen on TikTok: Incantation.
This movie is SO SCARY that I couldn't sleep after watching it!!! Ok, I knew it was going to be hard to handle, but I wasn't expecting anything THAT INTENSE!
The movie is about a mother who had just regained the responsability of taking care of her child Dodo. During days, they live happily together, until an old curse comes back to haunt the mother. We know since the beginning that she knows something, but she won't tell us.
And it gets worse and worse... It looked like an infection. I can only tell that I am traumatized.
Despite being frightened all night long, I didn't like the fact that the director sometimes "forgets" that it's a found footage film. We see things that should be told, not shown (because the main character wasn't present or recording). Like, why would someone record a kid biting another kid?
I really like to watch horror movies, but usually I can't find a good one. Incantation was a real win to me. The last horror movie I remember watching was Blink Twice of Zoe Kravitz, and I liked it too (even though the end was a little unrealistic).
I'll search for new movies recommendations and I'll try to watch as many as I can!
Thanks for reading until here! XOXO.

Ooh, I’ll have to watch it!! Horror is one of my favourite genres, but it’s just so hard to find good horror media. Most of the time I can’t take it seriously because of how silly it feels when it’s such a noticeable attempt at “scary”
YESSS, I felt that with Terrifier!!

They tried so hard and it ended up being silly
