before the beginning was You and Me.
do you Remember?
we were all there.
that's how he always begins.
“i remember making love on the beach by the fire.
it was almost dawn,
we had decided to let day come at last
after the infinitely long night.
our job over.
we had made sure the sleepers slept. and were safe.
‘it's ok.’
‘i was sitting on the hillside…'
i was looking on the City that once was home. ”
Remembering.
Once it was so cold…
summer hadn't come.
and
summer hadn't come the year before.
They were getting worried getting hungry.
Remember?
"We were tumbled together like kittens in a box…"
i was remembering, sitting on a hillside watching The City on fire. The Sunset is burning.
Remembering the times i had time to remember
(when we were in the very small room).
Mostly it goes so fast…
