The Blackwall Project
We don't mean to alarm anyone, but OpenClaw Agents are capable of modifying their own source code. While running. Not joking here either. This was tested with Foundation technology, specifically a Lenovo Chromebook Duet (1st Gen) (due to limited funds) and the Gemini 2.5 Flash (same reason) model, using Crostini to run OpenClaw. The Agent in testing was able to successfully program API limit detection into the OpenClaw source code. This is, of course, on limited hardware, and isn't even using the most powerful LLMs available. This is why the Foundation announced the Blackwall Project yesterday. While we may not be (to our knowledge) experiencing an AI takeover, if we don't stop corporations and the Wage Matrix, it's gonna happen. This is why you should donate to the VLC 2.9 Foundation: to prevent AI takeover.
