i wish i hadn't heard of stigmata

im sorry I planned 2 make this have more structure but im so mad so this is more of a vomit rant XD

I just read unholyverse for the first time and I lowkirkenuely can't believe this is what everybody is raving about. it's just so bad. im angry because the premise is so good and had so much potential story wise. religious horror is incredible when its well executed. it was good until the first half of the first part. then it all just went downhill and basically became a cheap copy of supernatural. the structure is shit, same conflicts repeating constantly throughout all three installments. the blood freak factor needed to be upped along with religious guilt. it sounded like it was written by a 13 year old. I am mad because of all the things I just listed but im even more mad because everyone recommends it as if it is the pinnacle of literature and "they haven't read anything better" and that just makes me question myself about the state of the world and literacy rates. its crazy that were both talking about the same thing. also all the fanart/edits are 1000000000% better than he source material and it hyped me up so much just to then be met with that ridiculous story. 

...now about asotm I couldn't even get through the first 10 chapters. somehow it was even worse than unholyverse. If ur gonna write a story in the 1st person there is even more pressure to get it to be good and entertaining, instead of the corny shit I just read. plz explain why G has the personality of a reddit mod discord edge lord? also I think rape is such a serious topic that just can't be written like #That. not to mention the fact that f's original age was 17 (ew) (and that just changed last year). I give it a little bit of a pass since it was written like 20 years ago (almost) but it can only go so far. 

I still think I just read like a dupe or something inspired by those works bc it aint no way u all are reading those things and calling it good. 

p.s. and this is not a rant against fan fiction in general. I love it, and I think there are genuinely amazing pieces of literature, but then again, not all of them are good and that's ok.
