looking for cosmetologists / hairstylists!!!

hi yall !! i’ve been looking more into careers i want to commit to and im all over the place, from nuclear medicine to it to pharmacy work to cosmetology and i’m trying to find people already in these fields i can ask questions ! 

i know cosmetology schools and licensing varies greatly in different states, and im aware of my states requirements and schools, but i want to ask about general experience when it comes to learning in classes and then gaining years of experience. 

is cosmetology something people are usually fulfilled with when it comes to happiness? is it a stable and comfortable job in terms of money? whats the best plan i can try to follow, worked toward having my own business or staying with a salon? what should i not get my hopes up for, and what should i expect?
