I'm not ready for the oriented cycle :"(

It might sound harsh, but I'm not ready to move on to the oriented cycle; especially now that they're dividing us into specializations (economics, social sciences, and natural sciences)... I think I'm going to have to explain what the basic cycle and the oriented cycle are...

Well, in Argentina (or at least in the province of Corrientes), primary and secondary school courses are divided into the basic cycle (grades 1-3) and the oriented cycle (grades 4-6). Those in the basic cycle are still getting used to the teaching methods, schedules, and school rules; while those in the oriented cycle already understand all of that, and the school is generally stricter with them.

In my high school, the oriented cycle is in the morning and the basic cycle is in the afternoon; also, the basic cycle is divided into ABC, while the oriented cycle is divided into the specializations of Economics, Social Sciences, and Natural Sciences. This year I'm in my fourth year of high school, and the thing is, if I go to economics, I'll be on my own (my friends are probably going into Natural and Social (probally)) and in sixth year, they do a project, and in economics, it's about products (meaning, with your group, you present a product that satisfies a need). But if I go to Social, I'll be with some friends, but several of the subjects they'll teach over the last three years don't interest me. And if I end up in Natural, I'll spend the last three years cursing whoever thought it was a good idea to send me to that specialization.

My friends (especially my best friend) told me that "this isn't going to define what you're going to study at university." And I tell them they're right... but what I'm really thinking is, "I KNOW, BUT I DON'T WANT TO SPEND THE NEXT THREE YEARS STUDYING SOMETHING I DON'T LIKE, OR IN 6TH GRADE, RUIN MY ENTIRE GPA OVER SOME STUPID REQUIRED PROJECT, UGH." And on top of that, there are the artistic classes: music, theater, and ART! But that's random, and if I don't get art, I'm going to be furious ((IN MY OPINION) music is boring, and theater—even though it helps me improve my interpretation of an emotion/character/situation in dance—I just don't like it)

So, I don't know, I guess this is what happens when you pass everything and the only things you like are drawing and dancing (even though I don't show off my dance skills at school—or at least I try not to). And I'm not sure what I want to study or be when I grow up. 〒▽〒

Anyway, I still have to wait to hear what my spepecilization will be. Oh, and I'll probably have Portuguese classes (they explained that if we passed English from 1st to 3rd and didn't make up the subject, they'd give us Portuguese classes).

Conclusion: I don't want the holidays to end.

Bye!
