Things that piss me off

Someone who thinks they're special because they're different.

It's great to have uniqueness as a characteristic. There's nothing really interesting about someone who mainly likes something. Not even because they enjoy it, only because it's popular, not actually even liking it. Making you seem like a fake, and nobody really likes a fake. It's better for you to like something than because of its popularity but for actual enjoyment. It's better to be yourself than to be a fake. There's also nothing wrong with liking something that isn't popular. Not everyone has the same interests. But it gets too annoying when certain people turn it into a competition. I'm specifically talking to the really large handful of people who think liking anything popular automatically makes you a boring person with no personality. They have this mindset of: if it's well known, or popular, or "overrated" = bad, but if only a handful of people even know about it = good?

 It's a weird thought process to have that only some things or interests are good if no one knows about them. which is a weird thought to have. Why not just enjoy something simply because you like it? Instead of making it into this internal conflict between you and some people who don't actually care. I blame all of the "NaMe fIvE WeeZeR SoNgS ThaT isN't blah blah blah." People. Making it seem like it's wrong to like anything that is well-liked or popular. Making it out that any person who doesn't listen to a shitty unreleased song that an artist made in the back of Taco Bell.  It's popular for a reason, because it's good. This literally goes for everything, not just music. Also movies, hobbies, games, and clothes. There's also nothing wrong with liking things that aren't popular; it's just getting annoying with this buzzing sound in your ear for liking anything popular. "You're basic!!!" Nobody asked?

  Literally nobody asked for my opinion on this, but it gets me so agitated when someone thinks they are special because they don't listen to or watch whatever is trending right now. Just enjoy what you want, and like what you like. Don't put someone else's interests down cause you wanna feel different. Just be yourself and enjoy your stuff without making it into a competition. That's literally it.
