HELP I'M TRYING TO GET INTO BATMAN!!!!!

Okay, so I already REALLY like Batman. Like, a LOT. But my knowledge ends with the Arkham games and movies. 

I really really REALLY wanna get into the comics, but every time I try, I get really confused. I heard that the best place to start is Year One, but I dunno where to go from there. Like, nothing just goes in chronological order and trying to understand the order hurts my brain.

Does anyone have any kind of reading suggestions related to certain authors or anything?
