I use and collect DVDs!! I just feel like it's more better than using some lame ass subscription. I would rather OWN something forever than borrow it from large companies.

I collect books, cds, and dvds/blurays. If you're wanting to get started on dvds, get them at thrift stores. You shouldn't have to spend more than like $5, and that's for more recent releases. I have a music store near me and I almost exclusively shop in their $1-$2 movie area. Since you mentioned burning discs, I would recommend checking out mercari and ebay. Lots of people have stacks just collecting dust in storage. I easily got 100 blank cds for only $5. Same goes for DVDs
