homophobia/transphobia: real issues

i swear everyday people get dumber, there seems to be a lot more homophobia and transphobia nowadays and it's really annoying and just stupid, why do people have so much hate, somehow every person you meet will hate a certain type of people, even if everyone was perfect, somehow hate would still form, it groups people together, everything is a stereotype, but everyone is their own unique person, and people like to ignore that and act like everyone of a certain trait is the same, and recently I've been hearing worse and worse things said about people, with one of the worst being someone i WAS friends with saying "people only transition cause they have a small di_k" fill in the blank it'll get censored if i put it, and when i got mad and argued that it's not true, he was stubborn and convinced it was the reason, like are we serious?? how are people so dense, it is just insane that people genuinely think like this, and lack such care for other people, i don't think it's gonna get better any time soon
