Book Review: Name of the Wind - Patrick Rothfuss

Literally the most beautiful thing you will ever read. I cried to this book and I do not cry to books. It's a beautiful work and despite how dark the world is you genuinely feel like the people care for one another. These people's lives can suck but they are still capable of good.

Quite literally the only things I can talk negatively about is the mildly weird way women are written (especially Fela) and the archive scene-- but the archive scene isn't even poorly written it just upset me so bad I had to take a week long break because it embarrassed me so bad.

I quite literally could not recommend a book more. It's like the RGU of books, this is my Citizen Kane. My 12 Angry Men. I believe in the beauty of people because I've seen the beauty of people. Unironically this book made me see other humans more positively and made me make a conscious choice to be kinder to other people. Not because people can be less cruel than I expect but because I know that I don't care in the face of what being a decent person can provide.
