I recently bought my first electric guitar off of Ebay and I'm really excited to start playing. It's going to take some getting used to because I mainly play Uke and strum a little on acoustic guitar but have never really done much with individual notes or solos or anything like that.
One issue I'm having now is this rattling sound? may just be my inexperienced playing or the capo I'm using or something, not sure.
Another thing is that I have no idea what the knobs do on the guitar itself or the amp I'm using (used to be my older brother's amp)
If anyone has any advice I'd be grateful.
Either way, I love how this guitar looks/feels and overall I'm having a good time.

aight so on the guitar (from what i can tell) there are 2 volume knobs and 2 tone knobs.volume is volume but tone changes the overall sound of the guitar.
as for on the amp, usually there are these guys: drive/gain, low/bass, mid, treble/high, master.
drive increase the amount of signal, while those low/mid/high knobs are frequencies. if you wish to remove all bass from the sound you would need to set the low/bass knob to zero and etc. for others
also for the switch button looking thing, that changes which pickups are used. basically they change the sound as well
