buying too much shit

im current in between jobs, and it's a position that i'm really grateful to be in. getting to rest with a next job lined up is probably the closest a working adult can get to a school holiday.

but i have been struggling with an overspending problem during this period. it's like the new chapter is making me think of all the new lifestyles i can possibly have. im looking new clothes, new bags (expensive ones even), new tech (expensive laptops and cameras) and even new vacuum cleaner and mattresses.

maybe it's more than the job change, it's also the new year and the birthday. but i know that buying isnt becoming, and I already have more clothes and hobbies than i can possibly consume. this break isnt even that long. i know i'll be too busy for most of these things.

need to keep telling myself that i don't actually earn that much, and there will always be big expenses coming when things break down. and also reminder that i need to create more than i consume
